Concours-Lepine 2010 Fair Print
109th Concours-Lepine International Fair of Invention were held from 30th April to 9th May 2010 in Paris. The Fair was held under the auspices of Nicolas Sarkozy, President of France.
Due to its prestige and over 100 years of tradition, the Concours-Lepine Fair is widely advertised in media and attracts many visitors, representatives of business, manufacturers and investors.

576 inventions, including 31 inventions from Poland, were exhibited at the Fair. The exhibitors represented 14 countries. The exhibition included 12 thematic branches. The inventions were assessed by the jury of 47 persons. All the Polish inventions were accepted for an assessment by the jury chairman. 202 inventions were awarded with medals. The Polish innovative solutions obtained the following distinctions:
  • 5 gold medals (from 39 awarded gold medals),
  • 2 medals of the AIFF French Chamber of Inventors and Manufacturers (from 42 awarded medals),
  • 13 silver medals (from 50 awarded medals),
  • 11 bronze medals (from 71 awarded medals).
The KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology submitted for the competition “Noise damper for air intake and exhaust hoods of fans of high power” developed by Marek Pierchala, M.Sc. Eng. and Aneta Augustyn, M.Sc. Eng. This solution was awarded with a bronze medal.
